Design your room

The kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom, the walk in closet, the living room and the backyard (with the pool) are priced in the tool now. The pricing method below applies to all of them. The tool works best on a laptop.

The arithmetic

Exactly how the number is worked out.

Most contractors will not show you this. It is not complicated, and publishing it is the point: you can check our maths, and you can hold anyone else's quote to the same standard.

01
Enter four measurements
the length of your counter run, the floor area, the length of wall units and the island, if you have one
02
Work out the quantities
countertop is the run times 0.65 m deep, splashback the run times 0.55 m high, cabinet doors by the metre of run and wall units, flooring and ceiling on the floor area
03
Price the materials on those quantities
every product at the supplier's listed price, with the date it was checked, not a marked up trade rate
04
Add 10% wastage on tiles and flooring
cuts, breakages and the spare box you keep for repairs. Any quote without it is understating the material
05
Price the installation separately
per square metre, per metre or per item, so you can see the split between material and labour
Scope

What the estimate covers, and what it does not.

Included in the figure
01
Materials at published supplier prices
with the date they were checked, so you know how current the figure is
02
Wastage allowance
10% on tiles and flooring for cuts, breakages and a spare box, shown as its own line
03
Installation
per square metre, per metre or per item, shown apart from the materials
Not included, and why
01
Strip out and disposal
depends entirely on what is already there, which needs a site visit
02
Plumbing or electrical alterations
moving the sink or adding a circuit is a separate scope
03
Building permits or access fees
some Dubai towers charge for contractor access and material lifts
04
Structural work
anything involving walls, floors or the plumbing stack
When you have a number

Send us the specification, not a blank enquiry.

The tool writes your full specification into a WhatsApp message: room size, every product, every price. We can quote properly from that, and you never have to explain it twice.

Questions

What people ask about the tool.

Is this a real quote?

It is a real estimate, built from published material prices and our installation rates. It is not a fixed quote, because we have not seen your room. What it does is put you in the right range before you speak to anyone, which is more than most contractors in Dubai will give you.

Where do the prices come from?

Material prices are taken from published UAE supplier catalogues, and each one shows the date it was checked. They are advertised retail prices, not trade rates, so a real quote is often lower rather than higher. Installation rates are our own working figures and are being checked against the market.

Why is my quote from another contractor so different?

Usually because it is bundled. A single figure for a kitchen renovation hides the split between material and labour. Ask any contractor to itemise and the difference becomes visible.

Can I use this and not hire you?

Yes. The tool works whether or not you ever contact us. It exists because pricing in this market is deliberately opaque, and we would rather be the company that fixed that.

Is it cheaper to buy the materials myself?

It often looks cheaper, but the shop price is not the whole cost. Buying yourself means your time choosing and ordering, collecting or arranging delivery, checking every box when it arrives, handling returns and breakages, and paying card fees. If a tile is short or a fitting is wrong, the job stops while you sort it out. When we order, all of that is handled by us, so you choose the products and we deal with the rest.

Which rooms does it cover?

The kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom, the walk in closet, the living room and the backyard (with the pool) are live now. More rooms are being added, priced the same way.
